SPAM® Mushroom Carbonara

Take your taste buds on a trip to Italy with this mouth-watering mushroom carbonara. A lightly brown sautéed SPAM® Classic is perfectly blended with pepper, mushrooms and garlic then garnished with parsley to create an Italian masterpiece.

Ingredients

  • Half a can of SPAM® Classic sliced
  • 453g linguine pasta
  • 440ml (heated) cream based pasta sauce
  • 75g of mushrooms
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Parsley to garnish
  • Red Wine if desired for taste (optional seasoning)
  • Cracked black pepper to garnish

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta as directed on package.
  2. Sauté SPAM® Classic until lightly browned. Season with pepper and red wine.
  3. Add mushrooms and garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add warm pasta sauce to the prepared pasta.
  5. Stir in the SPAM® mixture. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
